Chris Evans went on a F-bomb rant during filming of Top Gear

Los Angeles - Chris Evans launched a foul-mouthed rant against the Top Gear audience as he filmed scenes for the new series.

The 50-year-old television and radio presenter reportedly fumed at audience members for not laughing loud enough and for "folding their arms" during tapings for the BBC show.

He told them: "Don't fold your arms, don't wear black. Take it off - take everything off. Don't fold your arms, don't have your hands in your pockets. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. Don't be quiet. Talk among yourselves. Jesus Christ! Can you all hear me?"

He also slated fans gathered at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey for not cheering loud enough, The Sun newspaper reports.

Meanwhile, Top Gear was dealt another blow earlier this week after Brad Pitt reportedly pulled out of filming the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment last minute.

The group had hoped to get the Hollywood superstar to appear but he was replaced by Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice star Jesse Eisenberg and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Brad has obviously had filming issues so they've had to quickly find another Hollywood name and came up with Jesse.

"He played Lex Luthor in the latest Batman vs Superman movie, but is not a heartthrob or a name anything like Brad. Chris Evans is not known in the US so they've had to bring in two guests instead of one each week to build the brand out there.

"Gordon is a huge US TV star so that will help - but it's not the start Chris or the producers wanted really."

Pictures from the racetrack show Gordon, 49, driving around in a MINI and being given a pep talk by the Stig.
