Compelling Diana doccie examines new evidence

Johannesburg - August marks the 20 year anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, an event that sent shock waves around the world.

TLC Entertainment has a new three-part series special coming up which examines new evidence that sheds light on the life and death of one of history’s most beloved figures.

Diana: Tragedy or Treason is a special three-part series premiering on TLC Entertainment (DSTV 135) on Tuesday, 22 August 2017, dedicated to the memory of Princess Diana.

She first rose to international prominence as a young woman when she married Charles, Prince of Wales in an elaborate ceremony that was broadcast to a global television audience of over 750 million people and became one of the most watched special events of the 1980’s.

Although she was a much-loved fashion icon, humanitarian, and mother, she was also a controversial figure - so much so that many feared she would ultimately bring down the monarchy with her unconventional approach to her royal duties.

She was the object of worldwide media scrutiny throughout her reign as Princess of Wales, and some blame the relentless paparazzi for her untimely death. Now, twenty years after that fateful car crash sent shock waves around the world, there are many questions that remain unanswered.

This compelling documentary series examines new evidence and features exclusive interviews from insiders to shed new light on the life and death of one of history’s most beloved figures.

Watch Diana: Tragedy or Treason on TLC Entertainment (DStv 135) from Tuesday, 22 August at 21:50.
