Cape Town – Entertainment Weekly reported that Helena Bonham Carter is in talks with Netflix to star in The Crown.
Bonham Carter is tipped to take over the role of Princess Margaret from Vanessa Kirby in season three and four.
On Saturday, Kirby shared a picture of herself and Bonham Carter on Instagram with the caption, “Honoured.”
Needless to say this has prompted fans to assume that she is confirming that Bonham Carter has signed on for the role.
Season 3 of The Crown is expected to focus on the reign of Queen Elizabeth II from 1957 to 1964.
Netflix announced last year that Olivia Colman will replace Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth.
Bonham Carter is no stranger to playing a royal. She played Queen Elizabeth in The King's Speech for which she won a BAFTA.
Netflix has yet to confirm the news.
