Dirty Dancing reboot coming to M-Net this Friday!

Johannesburg – We reported earlier that ABC is making a reboot of the 80s hit Dirty Dancing. 

Good news for South African fans, M-Net (DStv 101) has added the much talked about 30 year anniversary television special of Dirty Dancing to its schedule. 

Just days after its first US broadcast on Wednesday, 24 May, M-Net will be screening the TV reboot.

It will broadcast Part 1 on Friday, 26 May at 19:30 and Part 2 on Friday, 2 June at 19:30.

The ode to the 1987 movie features a sterling cast as well as all the favourite musical items from the original film; not to forget that iconic final ballroom scene in which Patrick Swayze lifted Jennifer Grey over his head to the sound of “(I’ve had) The Time of My Life” - probably one of the most memorable scenes in the history of cinema.

To accommodate the screening of the Dirty Dancing special, MacGyver, who also came to life in the 80s, will take a break on Friday, 26 May and Friday, 2 June.
