Cape Town – The countdown for Stranger Things 2 has begun.
The Netflix hit created by Ross and Matt Duffer will make it's much anticipated return on the streaming service on Friday, 27 October.
The show bagged 18 nominations at the Emmy Awards of which they won five. (Read more here)

More about the new season
The second season will take place a year after the events of the first season.
Will (Noah Schnapp) suffers from PTSD from his time in the Upside Down and his mother Joyce (Winona Ryder) tries to help him deal with it.
Sean Astin joins the cast as Bob, Joyce's love interest.
Other newcomers include a brother / sister duo Billy (Dacre Montgomery) and Max (Sadie Sink) and the new person in charge of the laboratory, Dr. Owens (Paul Reiser).
In an earlier interview creator Matt Duffer revealed that Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is still alive and that the season will delve into her backstory more.
As for the monsters, they'll be bigger and badder.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly Matt said: "Each episode is building on the last one. It gets much crazier than it ever got in season 1.”
