Here's a first look at the Lifetime Britney biopic

Cape Town – ICYMI Lifetime is working on an unauthorised Britney Spears biopic. 

The pop star has slammed the film, saying she has not contributed to it and has not given it her blessing.

The movie is set to tell the "tumultuous true story" of her life focusing on her relationship with Justin Timberlake, her brief marriage to childhood friend Jason Alexander, her divorce from Kevin Federline and her broken engagement with Jason Trawick.

Stills of the production were released earlier and celebrities and fans alike slammed the upcoming movie. 

And now there's a sneak peak of the film. 

The trailer was released on the channel this weekend, a recording of it was then leaked on social media which promoted Lifetime to release the official trailer.

The film premieres in the US on 18 February.
