Idols SA adds 3 more audition cities

Cape Town – Idols SA is expanding its nationwide audition process to Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein and Polokwane. The first 200 people in each city who show up will be able to audition for the 13th season of the reality singing competition show on Mzansi Magic (DStv 161).

Aspiring musicians can line-up for one of the three additional auditions at The Boardwalk Casino in Beach Road, Port Elizabeth on Saturday 11 February, at a venue yet to be confirmed in Bloemfontein on Sunday 12 February and in Polokwane on Saturday 18 February at the Capricorn FM Studios at 11 Pierre Street, Hampton Court.

Only the first 200 people, aged between 16 and 30, at each place will be auditioned, with auditions strictly taking place between 07:00 and 13:00. Contestants need to have their ID with them and minors need written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

"Every year we try to reach as many South Africans as possible, budget constraints and logistics do not always allow us to reach everyone, but based on the public’s pleas this year, we’ve decided to come to the three additional provinces," says Sphumelele Sibeko, Mzansi Magic's head of reality programming.
