Johannesburg - After many weeks of hard work and record-breaking votes, the long wait will be over for 24-year-old Karabo Mogane and 23-year-old Mmatema Moremi.
The winner of Idols SA season 11 will be announced at the Idols SA final at Carnival City on Sunday night.
For the first time ever, the final will be broadcast in 5.1 surround sound.
The Idols SA Top 10 will be reunited again on the Carnival City stage for a group performance of Rachel Platten’s Fight Song, and the Top 2 finalists will be performing Beyoncé’s I Was Here as a duet, backed by the rest of their fellow Top 10 contestants.
Mmatema and Karabo will each perform a duet with special guest stars: Mmatema will be singing Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrel’s Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing with MiCasa’s J. Something, and Karabo and Judith Sephuma will join forces on George Michael and Aretha Franklin’s I Knew You Were Waiting.
And there are many more suprise guest appearances by some of South Africa’s top artists, and of course the winning contestant will perform his or her brand new single, both of which are already hits all over South African airwaves!
Tune in for the grand finale this Sunday at 17:00 on M-Net (DStv 101) and Mzansi Magic (DStv 161).
