Is this the end of The Good Wife?

Cape Town – It seems as though The Good Wife is on its way out after season 7. 

Showrunners and creators Michelle and Robert King have confirmed that they are stepping down while Julianna Margulies who plays the role of Alicia Florrick hinted that she will be doing the same. 

Honouring the husband and wife duo at the Casting Society of America's Artios Awards laste Thursday, Julianna said: " surprised Robert and Michelle tonight. They didn’t know I was going to be here. They think I’m here for them, but I’m unemployed come April, and I think you haven’t seen me in a while, at least not in person, so I thought I should show up"

Meanwhile, the actors and actresses of the award winning legal drama mentioned to Vulture.com that their contracts will come to an end after season 7 which is currently broadcasting in the United States. 

There have been alleged rumours that Craig Turk who is the producer of Boston Legal and Private Practice will take over from current creators and push for an eighth season.

Will The Good Wife be the same without Alicia Florrick or should the series be canned after season 7?
