Jackie Hoffman’s reaction to losing at the Emmys is one for the books

Cape Town – Let’s just be honest, the hardest part about being nominated for any award is losing and some, including Jackie Hoffman, don’t always take the loss well.

The Feud actress was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night but lost out to Laura Dern for her work in Big Little Lies and boy did she show it.

In videos shared on social media Hoffman can be seen letting out a loud “Damn it” the moment presenters Issa Rae and Riz Ahmed reveal the winner.

Her salty reaction could also just be a follow-up to her reaction when the nominees for the category was announced.

Hoffman shared a video in which she phones her fellow nominees offering to accept the award on their behalf if they could not attend the ceremony.

According to Entertainment Weekly Hoffman's reaction is merely part of her campaign for the Emmy's "Pettiest of Them All", which is a spoof of Joan Crawford’s infamous 1963 Academy Awards reaction.

The Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? actress responded to her co-star Bette Davis' nomination for Best Actress by calling all the nominated actresses and offering to accept the award on their behalf in an attempt to steal the spotlight from Davis.
