Matt LeBlanc shares pics from his SA Top Gear trip

Cape Town – We recently reported that the new Top Gear host, Matt LeBlanc, would like to come to South Africa to film the show.

It turns out that his wish has just been granted.

The crew has headed to our shores to film scenes for the new season of the motoring show.

The actor took to Twitter to post this picture.

Co-host Chris Evans posted this picture which, according to a source, is at a traffic circle in the heart of Umhlanga.

Top Gear SA editor has confirmed that filming for the new season is taking place.

Filming of the season has been marred by setbacks as it was expected to start airing on 8 May, but now it has been delayed until 22 May, and has also been cut from being an eight-part series to six.

Executive producer Lisa Clark also quit the show five months into filming of the new season.
