Meet the new faces on Suidooster

Johannesburg - kykNET’s popular soap Suidooster is expanding its cast with a number of experienced and upcoming actors.

Recently viewers were introduced to the new office assistant at Suidooster Properties, Danielle Hendricks, for which Vashti Prins was cast.

Vashti who recently completed her drama studies at the University of Stellenbosch was also nominated this year for a kykNET Fiësta Award for her role in the stage production, Die Gangsters.

Another newbie is Eden Classens who studied at the New York Film Academy and Afda. His character is Justin Potgieter who is the new waiter in the Oos Wes coffee shop. Eden is also a well-known model and has participated in New York and Milan fashion weeks.

A favourite character, Carmen Fourie, also recently marked her comeback when Desiré Gardner returned from maternity leave after giving birth to a baby girl in August last year. Desiré who originally joined the Suidooster cast in February 2016 was previously a popular character in Binnelanders too.

On 14 March viewers will also meet Dr. Siya Thuli, who is portrayed by Gantane Kusch. Gantane shot to stardom as Gimba in the hit movie, Noem my Skollie.

Veteran Afrikaans actress, Elsabé Daneel, will appear as Estelle Fourie in Suidooster. Estelle is Carmen’s mom who also adopted Bianca (Simome Biscombe) as a baby.

Viewers will finally be introduced to Rhafiek Samsodien’s (Irshaad Ally) twin brother, Rhiyaaz, who shows up after a shock twist rocks the close-knit Samsodien family.

Well-known actor, Anton Jeftha, has joined Suidooster all the way from Los Angeles to play Rhiyaaz Samsodien. Anton has appeared in several American TV series such as Dominion and Homeland, though locally he became a familiar face on TV screens for his prominent appearances in an array of Outsurance advertisements.

Dean, who is only 23, is a talented stage actor and studied drama at the University of Stellenbosch. In his young stage career, he already snapped up several awards for roles in a variety of prominent Afrikaans stage productions.
