MKRSA: Bloem besties on the power of matching outfits

Cape Town – Liz and Leanne, the matching besties from Bloemfontein, were the latest pair to be eliminated from My Kitchen Rules SA. In the previous episode the duo had a narrow escape in their sudden-death round with brothers-in-law G and OG.

Known to be meat-lovers, the duo were very surprised when a vegetarian dish kept them in the competition. "Not in a million years did we think that would happen. We know that skills, quick innovative thinking and our variety of flavours might, but never a vegetarian dish," they told Channel24 in an e-mail interview.

Speaking about their canapés in the last challenge the besties say they loved their dishes and although they were petite they were full of flavour. The one thing they would have done differently based on the judges' criticism however, would be to add more garnish and flair.

POWER DRESSING

One thing that kept social media buzzing was Liz and Leanne's matching outfits. "All sports teams in the world dress the same. We wanted to stand as one and speak as one voice."

And their favourite outfit to wear? Well...we'll just have wait for the reunion finale because the ladies kept the best look for last.

On their future plans the matching duo say they are "rolling out a new sport media concept called Sport video". "It is keeping us busy 24/7! We also plan on cooking abroad - taking South African food and flavours to the world. Watch this space," they added.
