MKRSA finale: Who will take home the grand prize?

Cape Town - It’s time for the grand finale of My Kitchen Rules SA!

This Sunday, 10 December at 17:30, best friends from Johannesburg, Charnell and Kerry, will be going up against husband and wife team from Bloemfontein, Jamandi and Machiel in an epic five course cook-off for the massive R1m prize.

The teams have their work cut out for them, as they will be tasked to cook five gourmet courses for a panel of world-renowned guest judges as well as resident judges David Higgs and J’Something.

The guest judges

Joining the MKR tasting table this week is South Africa’s first Michelin Star chef Jan Hendrik, who flew all the way from Nice, France to judge the My Kitchen Rules finale! Alongside Jan Hendrik are Chef Margot Janse, whose stint at Le Quartier Francais in Franschhoek earned the restaurant eighth place in the World’s Top 50 Restaurants, and the legendary master of Cape Malay cuisine Cass Abrahams.

Rounding up the panel is food enthusiast and straight-talking Carte Blanche investigative journalist Devi Sankaree-Govender. What viewers might not know about Devi is that when she’s not confronting crooks on TV, she’s a whizz in the kitchen and a passionate home cook, having accumulated culinary accolades along the way such as winning the Gateway Celebrity Chef Showdown.

The 16 previous My Kitchen Rules contestants will also be making one last return through the revolving doors to show their support for Charnell, Kerry, Jamandi and Machiel as they embark on a cook of a lifetime!
