Mob Wives star Big Ang dies after battle with cancer

Cape Town – Mob Wives star Big Ang has died after battling with stage 4 cancer, TMZ reported. She was 55 years old.

Angela "Big Ang" Raiola was reportedly surrounded by family members on Thursday when she died.

Ang was first diagnosed with throat cancer in April of last year. After removing the tumour in her throat, doctors learned the cancer had returned in December and had spread to her lungs and brain.

Shortly before the reality TV star’s death, TMZ reported Ang’s team had to clear up false death reports on Wednesday evening.

Ang’s rep confirmed she died at 03:01 ET on Thursday morning.

She added to the statement: "Ang’s fans were some of the most special people in her world, and she loved you immensely. Thank you for your love, prayers, and unconditional support of Angela right to the very end."

Raiola is survived by her son, Anthony and daughter, Raquel and six grandchildren.
