Mzansi Magic boxing drama gets back in the ring for round 2!

Johannesburg - Mzansi Magic’s smash hit drama Ring of Lies is back for another round, on Monday, 31 July, as the ring gets tougher and the lies get darker.

The revelations of last season have left the Majola family reeling. Will they be able to pull together and let love prevail, or will the secrets from the past and present continue to tear their family apart?

New cast members

Audiences can look forward to the arrival of newcomer Rendani (Fulu Mugovhani), a feisty, sexy musangwe fighter who defies her conservative father to pursue her dream of becoming a champion boxer. Also look out for Mangaliso Ngema’s return to TV, when he takes on the role of Vusi Cele – Sli’s biological father. Another big addition to the season two cast is Anga Makubalo, who takes on the role of the charming musician, Buzwe.

Audiences will remember how Sli tragically terminated her unborn baby last season, only to discover that her and Neo weren’t actually related. In season two, Sli is grappling with the consequences of that decision and is haunted by recurring nightmares which prompt drastic measures.

M-Net’s Head of Drama for Local Entertainment Channels, Lufuno Nethengwe commented on the new season, “We are very excited about the new cast joining this season. The introduction of a female musangwe boxer introduces a fresh layer to the storyline and the opportunity for new romantic relationships to develop. Last season’s reveals were startling but this time around even darker secrets and backstories are brought to the fore.”

Tune into Mzansi Magic on 31 July from 19:00 for round two of Ring of Lies.
