New Game of Thrones Dothraki warrior dishes on role!

Los Angeles - Tamer Hassan says his character has an "epic" impact in the upcoming new series of Game of Thrones.

The 47-year-old actor portrays a Dothraki warrior in season six of the HBO fantasy drama and although he can't give away any spoilers he has teased his alter ego's actions will have massive ramifications on the main characters.

Speaking to website Loaded.co.uk, Tamer shared: "I play a Dothraki warrior, a leader ... It's not a regular role or a major role but the impact of what I do is epic ... What I do affects the main characters. Really, it's massive. A lot of people around me die. I didn't die."

Tamer has been trying to get cast in Game of Thrones for years and is pleased the producers were finally convinced he was right for the show.

He added: "I actually was a little bit angry because I've met for Game of Thrones for every season but it never worked out. When you look at the show, how do I not fit in? It's just one of those ones that I could never seem to get, until now."

Tamer has a long distinguished list of acting credits including roles in TV shows such as 24: Live Another Day, EastEnders and Casualty, and many movies with The Business, Clash of the Titans and Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead among his filmography.

Although he has had years of experience on sets, Tamer was very impressed by how "incredibly hard" all the cast works on Game of Thrones - which is based on George R. R. Martin's books.

He said: "How they work and what they do on that show is just like nothing I have ever seen before. They work incredibly, incredibly hard. You get your page of lines and that is all you see. You have no idea of the script and no idea what's going on and that is what is really magical about it."

Game of Thrones season six - which stars Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Maisie Williams and Alfie Allen - returns on 24 April, 2016.
