Cape Town – The brand new season of Top Gear made its debut on South African screens on Wednesday night.
While the hype around the show's return was big its premiere received lukewarm responses from the audience.
The revamped motoring show received mixed reviews and strong criticism after its first episode aired in the UK this past weekend.
And by the looks of it South African audiences are in agreement.
Viewers took to Twitter to strongly voice their opinions.
Most viewers were not impressed with the presenters and the new show overall.

But it wasn't all bad as some viewers found something they liked about the show while others are optimistic that it can improve.
