Popular comedy 2 Broke Girls cancelled after 6 seasons

Cape Town – One of the most popular shows on TV, 2 Broke Girls, has been cancelled by its network CBS, according to Variety, Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter.

There have been reports that negotiations between the various stakeholders in the show broke down resulting in the comedy – which has always been solid in terms of ratings if not critical acclaim – being canned.

The stars of the multi-camera sitcom, Kat Denning and Beth Behrs have released a joint statement via their Instagram accounts. In the statement the actresses – who play Max and Caroline respectively – thank fans and say that they will always treasure their lifelong friendship.
