SA actor nabs role in major US series

Johannesburg - South African actor Sean Cameron Michael, last seen on SA screens in the hit TV series Black Sails on DStv's History channel, has once again nabbed a role in a major US series. 

This time, the actor can be seen in Of Kings and Prophets, currently on M-Net Edge, a biblical drama that centres around a battle-weary king, a powerful and resentful prophet, and a resourceful young shepherd.

Michael appears as the character Nabal in two episodes of the 9-part drama.  His co-stars include Maisie Richardson-Sellers (The Originals), Ray Winstone (The Trials of Jimmy Rose) and Olly Rix (The Musketeers) amongst others. The actor was flown from his homebase in LA to South Africa in December last year to film the ABC TV series.

Episode 6 of Of Kings and Prophets, which features Michael, will air on M-Net Edge (DStv 102) this Thursday, 13 October, at 20.00, while his second episode screens the following week, 20 October.
