Cape Town - BBC Worldwide has confirmed, that after a three year break, a new series of the critically-acclaimed ratings hit Come Dine With Me South Africa will be coming to BBC Lifestyle.

The first three series of the SAFTA winning dining competition have become firm favourites with audiences up and down the country. It was a huge ratings hits and in 2013 the programme won a Best International Format Show Award at the 7th Annual South African Film and Television Awards 2013 (SAFTAs).

Each episode follows four total strangers as they step into each other’s homes with the hope of being wined, dined and entertained and also be in with the chance of winning R10 000. When filming starts later this year, the new series aspires to be bolder, bigger and better than ever.

“I’m pleased that BBC Lifestyle is joining forces with Rapid Blue once more to offer a distinctly South African take on a hugely popular international format.”
