Two lead actors leaving Hawaii Five-0

Cape Town – Two lead actors on Hawaii Five-0 are leaving the show.

According to Entertainment Weekly Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park will not be returning for the upcoming eight season.

The pair play cousins Kono Kalakaua and Chin Ho Kelly who are detectives on Steve McGarrett’s (Alex O’Loughlin) Five-0 Task Force.

According to Variety Park and Kim are exiting the show due to failed salary negotiations.

The pair have reportedly been seeking equal pay but were offered 10-15% lower than co-stars O'Loughlin and Scott Caan.

CBS released a statement about the actors leaving thanking them for their enormous talents, professional excellence and aloho spirit.

“They’ve helped us build an exciting new Hawaii Five-0, and we wish them all the best and much success in their next chapters. Mahalo and a hui hou," read the statement.

Season 7 is currently on air Tuesdays at 19:30 on M-Net (DStv 101).
