Van Helsing rebooted

Johannesburg - Syfy has resurrected Van Helsing – the vampire hunter – for a 13-episode TV series. The lead role will go to Kelly Overton who will play Vanessa Helsing, the daughter of Van Helsing. 

The drama series focuses on the daughter of the great descendant who must lead mankind against a world controlled by vampires. Kelly of True Blood fame will be joined by David Frazee from Orphan Black and Paul Johansson formerly from Mad Men.

The series will start production in February 2016 and will premiere on Syfy in the United States later this year.
