WATCH: Transgender model reality show coming to the small screen

Cape Town – Step aside America's Next Top Model there is a new group of models hitting the small screen. 

Strut, a new reality series by Oxygen will follow models from the exclusive transgender modelling agency, Slay Model Management.

The show will centre on the professional and personal lives of Laith De La Cruz, Dominique Jackson, Isis King, Ren Spriggs and Arisce Wanzer.

Whoopi Goldberg, who is the executive producer of the show said in a statement, "Our models come from all walks of life, all different backgrounds and ethnicities. They are struggling with things we can all relate to—trying to make ends meet, fighting to make a name for themselves and navigating the minefields of personal relationships."

The show premieres in the US on 20 September.
