We hang out behind-the-scenes at the taping of Jou Show

Cape Town – Channel24 popped in at the filming of an episode of the popular kykNET talk show, Jou Show.

What’s it all about:

Host Emo Adams sits down with the who's who of the local entertainment industry. The variety show includes an interview segment and some fun quirky games in which the viewers get to know the personalities better. Each episode also includes a guest musical performance.

Overheard:

* The show is in its 10th season.

* The show has a brand new set and it is being shot in a new location, D.F. Malan High School.

* It has been cut down from an hour to 30 minutes and has moved to a new timeslot, Mondays at 20:00.

* The show format has changed; instead of three guests it has scaled down to two. These guest usually have something in common, either they have worked together or they are friends.

* There are 39 episodes in a season and filming is divided into 3 blocks and 13 episodes are filmed per block.

* Guests this season: Sean Else, Stian Bam, Ivan Botha, Donnalee Roberts, Willem Botha, Jenna Dunster, Vinette Ebrahim, Lizz Meiring, Zelda le Grange, Patricia de Lille, and Minki van der Westhuizen.

* Musical performances: Karlien van Jaarsveld, Loki Rothman, André Venter, Charlize Berg, Saarkie, Chris Rain and Nagligte.
