Who is the stranger lurking in Hillside? All is revealed!

Johannesburg - Have you noticed a strange looking woman lurking about in Hillside in the soapie 7de Laan?

And if you have the feeling that she looks a bit familiar you are on the right track, Sherlock!

This woman is none other than Gita (Jo da Silva), who has been absent from the Laan since December last year.

She had gone into hiding after she was suspected of the murder of Herman (Deon Coetzee) and Louis (Leslie van Wyk) in October, and now she is back to prove her innocence, or is she? We reveal all in the latest issue of tvplus magazine, so makes sure you get yourself a copy.

In the meantime we obtained exclusive pictures of the behind-the-scenes process of how Jo was transformed into this new woman.

She wore false teeth with cheek cushions, green contact lenses and a fat suit. It took the make-up artist almost two hours to transform Jo in this woman and she caught out most of her cast mates with her disguise.

“I wore this disguise for over three weeks in November last year and really freaked some of my cast members out. Even my daughter didn’t recognise me as soon as they also coloured my eyebrows and lashes blond,” says Jo, who also adds that is was quite an experience to portray such a stripped down version of the character.
