Cape Town – South African actress Alex McGregor has landed the lead role in a new CW drama.
Alex will star alongside Zane Holtz in the drama pilot, Searchers.
According to Deadline the story centres on a group of unlikely heroes who find themselves on the adventure of a lifetime.
Ten years after the death of their parents, siblings Cooper (Holtz) and Fable (McGregor) team up to discover the truth behind the disappearance of their parents.
She shared the exciting news on her Facebook page.
"The writer, Jason Rothenberg, gravitated towards me and was like, 'You got it. YOU ARE FABLE'. And then I lost all ability to speak. I kinda just started gasping for air and waving my hands around like a crazy person."

The 24-year-old actress and model who hails from Cape Town already has impressive credits to her resume.
She will be seen in long awaited film adaptation of Stephen King's Dark Tower as Susan Delgado later this year.
Other credits include Of Kings and Prophets, Younger Ones and Spud 2: The Madness Continues.
