The X Factor

Simon Cowell's high-energy entertainment format that has taken the world by storm has now moved to the US.

Following on from the success of the British version, Cowell created the US X Factor and it's coming to M-Net just weeks after the show premiered in America.

Cowell is joined at the judging panel by his former judging partner on American Idol, Paula Abdul, former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger and record  producer L.A. Reid. 

In another first, the show's winner will walk away with a record-breaking $5m record deal - the largest guaranteed prize in television history.

The X Factor has no barriers as it is open to all ages, all styles, solo acts or groups. And the performers aren't the only ones competing - it's judge vs judge, artist vs artist.
