2015 saw Nomuzi rise

Johannesburg – When the ancients look back at the year 2015, they will most likely mention one name: The Skhanda Queen, Nomuzi Mabena.

The TV personality started the year off in awkward circumstance, after a picture of her MCing at a show went viral, after it appeared that there was a tampon string hanging out of her pants. Luckily, it was nothing more than a loose thread (more on that here).

2015 saw Nomuzi push her rap career to new heights as she set out to be the fiercest female MC in Mzansi. She made her Cashtime Life rap debut in March with a feature on Kid X’s Se7en, and it wasn’t long before she was collecting features like they were Christmas presents.

She ended the year on a great note as the main vocalist on her collab for DJ Speedsta’s Don’t Panic and as one of the female rappers on AKA’s popular Baddest Remix.

And when she wasn’t dominating the mic, she was ruling the streets with her amazing sense of style.
