AKA apologises for nasty 'Proteas' tweets

AKA like the entire nation is still devastated that our national team was kicked out of the World Cup.

And, he took to Twitter to vent his disappointment and frustration.

We totally get it- but being a public figure AKA's tweets sparked a lot of debate that saw the rapper being criticised for his comments.

"BOO HOO  ... The Proteas lost ... They nearly made it ... We're so proud ... Yada Yada ... BUNCH OF CHOKERS," read one of his tweets.

The twar got so intense that people dragged his personal life into the fight.

Naturally AKA has a thick skin towards negativity and made a joke about it. "Everyone deals with sporting disappointments differently, what my unborn baby, my music and my family have to do with this ... I dunno. There is no insult that hasnt already been hurled at me. After years of abuse, I'm twitterproof  Go wait for the Proteas at the airport," he added.

However, after sleeping it off AKA has realised that as a country we should still rally behind the Proteas and be proud of their accomplishes.

The rapper has even apologised for the nasty tweets this morning.

"Wanna apologize for my tweets yesterday after we lost. When it comes to sports, we all deal with disappointment differently," AKA tweeted.

That's the spirit AKA!
