AKA denies hitting a fan!

Johannesburg- AKA has denied assaulting a fan in Gaborone.

It was reported early on Wednesday that the rapper 'moered' a young man, who apparently compared him to Cassper Nyovest.

AKA, Cassper, DJ Black Coffee, DJ Kent and Naak Musiq were in the country for the annual Summer Xplosion.

According to the Sowetan, the young fan who declined to be identified, explained that there was chaos outside the venue after AKA's performance as hundreds of fans surrounded the Quantum minibus he was travelling in.

Apparently AKA himself had to jump out of the vehicle to plead with fans to remain calm. While the rapper was still trying to talk to people, the young man shouted, "Cassper Nyovest is better than you."

"I was just expressing how I felt after both their performances. I told him that Cassper Nyovest is the man, and that is the truth. Then he slapped me. They later came to ask that I should not press charges," explained the fan.

AKA told The Juice that the reports aren't true and that he didn't beat anyone up.

When asked for more information regarding the incident, AKA said that he had given up defending himself in the media.

"Every week there will be something new, so I don't even get upset about reports whether they're true or not. I'm here to put out my music and grow from strength to strength in the industry," he explained.
