Afrikaans star Nádine to host a music roulette show

Move over Noot Vir Noot, there's a new young Afrikaans music show in town and it's taking over your TV slot!

According to the Rapport on Sunday, starting this August, Afrikaans singer Nádine Hoffeldt will be taking over the SABC 2 Friday night slot, the traditional home slot of hit music show Noot Vir Noot, to host her own Afrikaans music show, Musiek Roulette.

But fans of Noot Vir Noot, one of the longest running TV shows on South African TV, don't need to worry. The shows host Johan Stemmet is a key part of the new show and told Rapport that the shows will be working closely together.

"It's exactly like Noot vir Noot, 100 local" he told the Rapport, adding that his production house has been working on the concept for the last two years and were excited to have Afrikaans pop star Nádine on board.

Nadine told the paper that she was under contractual obligations but that she was really excited for the challenges ahead.

The show will kick off on the 8th of August.
