Johannesburg-  Veteran actor Aubrey Poo has shared some words of wisdom with young actors.

Aubrey, who made his debut on Isidingo on Tuesday night (Read that story here) has also acted in soaps such as Muvhango, Scandal, The Wild and numerous theatre shows.

Speaking to The Citizen, Aubrey explained that it still surprises him when fans ask for a picture because he doesn't think of himself as a celebrity.

Aubrey also believes that young actors are easily sidetracked by the buzz that comes with being in showbiz, but the most important thing should be to stay focused on the craft.

"When people come up to me and ask for a picture, I'm always surprised. I don't consider myself a celebrity because I've always been focused on the work that I do. Not the hype that may surround it. I think a lot of young actors get distracted by popularity and the number of Twitter followers they have, but at the end of the day the most important thing should be your commitment to your craft," he added.
