Azania Mosaka got nothing but love on social media after it was announced that she was joining 702. She received a lot of congratulatory tweets from fans and industry colleagues after the news broke.
Former Power FM host Eusebius McKaiser tweeted: "Congrats Azania_ on your new show on @Radio702. Looking forward to hearing what brekkie you serve up on Saturday! Love your work." Maps Maponyane also wished Azania well.
Azania told City Press that this move marks her maturing after a decade in broadcasting. She said she grew up listening to the station and added: "It was all those old voices that made me fall in love with and appreciate talk radio."
She explained that she left Power FM because she needed to grow. "... To refine my talk and broadcasting ability, that's why I moved from Metro to Power. Power taught me a lot and helped me cut my teeth in talk radio."
Azania will join Africa Melane for a double header on 702/CapeTalk’s Weekend Breakfast. The show broadcasts on both stations from 6:pm to 10:pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
