Baba Mkhize is alive and getting better, thank you very much

Veteran actor, Roland Mqwebu, better known as Baba Mkhize from the sitcom Emzini Wezinsizwa, is doing well despite claims that he had died.

Social media went crazy with rumours that the star had died after weekend reports that the actor was "fighting for his life" in a Durban hospital.

Apparently the star was hit with a number of illnesses, including kidney failure and bowel obstruction that left him weak and in need of urgent medical attention.

But his wife says the Roland is alive and recovering well in hospital.

"I’m relieved, he has started eating and he is looking good," his wife told Sunday World, adding that she was "happy with his condition.”

Get better soon, Baba Mkhize. We'll bring you one of those big "get well soon" balloons.
