Birthday girl Bonang's epic year in 5 moments

Johannesburg - From winning awards (and audiences) to falling in love- it's been quite a year of slayage for Queen B.

As Bonang celebrates her 28th birthday today, we look back at the last few months to remember how B slayed being 27.

She cemented her place on radio...

The last year has been a turbulent one for Bonang and her radio career. At one point it seemed like her radio career on Metro FM may have been put to an end but, like a phoenix, she rose up to overcome it all and host one of the leading radio shows on the station.

B found love...

There's no better feeling than the feeling of being in love. It's a feeling Bonang has felt a lot these last few months. Bonang has been shy about discussing her love life but judging by the cards, flowers, overseas getaways and cute messages there's no denying the Queen B has found her king.

Oh, and those awards. So many!

Bonang is a winner, not only with her legions of fans but also with the judges! Besides winning a super awesome Nickelodeon kids Choice Awards in America earlier this year, Bonang is also up for an MTV MAMA awards.

Then there was that Pharrell moment...

Thursday, 15:05..... London, GB!! On set with Pharrell for @woolworths_sa!! ?????????? #PharellWithWoolies.

Pharrell Williams is a global superstar. And so is Bonang! So when the two met it was amazing!

She's also a talk show queen now!

And just when we thought there was nothing else Queen B could possibly find time to do, she surprised us by being unveiled as a host on daily talkshow, Afternoon Express. Any excuse to see more of Queen B is a good excuse in our books.
