Bonang reveals how SO MUCH rejection made her a star

They say rejection is part of life and it doesn't matter how many times you fall, only how many you get up. Bonang sure knows that's true.

The star recently told Sowetan that her road to fame has been filled to the brim with rejection.

Queen B was talking at the 20/20 leadership conference hosted by DJ Sbu recently when she revealed that she has been rejected in auditions about 19 times in total.

"People know me from Live Amp, my first serious entertainment job, but it was not easy to get there. I auditioned nine times just to get to be a presenter,” she revealed, before explaining that she was turned down for the role of presenter on Real Goboza because she was too nice.

She said even her opportunity to be a Metro FM came only after three attempts, despite her coming from popular radio station YFM.

Even getting a spot on Top Billing was a mission she said. “I always wanted to be on Top Billing but they were not ready for me and did not see me as part of the team. It took five trials and rejections to make it,” she said.

Way to show your haters that rejection doesn't kill you, Bonang.
