It seems like Bongani Fassie just cant stay out of trouble with the law.
Sunday World is reporting that the musician and two Sandton police officers are facing charges theft. The officers could also be facing charges of corruption after Bongani allegedly bribed the officers after he was caught for being in possession of Dagga.
The case was opened by Bongani's acquaintance, Richard Joseph Hodes, who's money went missing shortly after he and Bongani were stopped by police in a roadblock in Sandton.
Richard claims that the R35 000 was kept in the centre console of his car, which police officers and Bongani saw. According to Richard, Bongani was put in the back of the police van, while another drove his car.
Shortly after Richard was given his car back, he checked for the money and was shocked to find that it was gone. "It could have only been removed by Bongani or the other officer, if not both," Richard told the paper.
