C-Live: DJ discharged from hospital and recovering at home

Johannesburg - Popular DJ Clive "C-Live" Shabalala has been discharged from hospital, and is recovering at home.

The news was confirmed by Jeppestown Police Warrant Officer Richard Munyai, who told Sowetan the DJ had submitted a statement at the station on Wednesday.

Richard says that after taking the statement police are now investigating, whether a heater could have caused the blaze, which killed C-Live's 11-year-old son, and left the DJ in a serious condition (read more about the incident here).

"I was speaking to the investigation officer and they are suspecting a heater caused the fire as the child was using it the night before but the investigation is still going on," Warrant Officer Richard Munyai said.

Eyewitnesses have criticised emergency services for taking too long to respond to the fire on Sunday evening, a claim Johannesburg EMS have since denied (Read more about that here).

Funeral details for the DJ's son are yet to be revealed.
