Carol Ralefeta talks about being abused and finding love

East Coast Radio DJ Carol Ralefeta, who got married over the weekend, has confessed that she was abused. Carol revealed this during an interview on East Coast Radio.

She said: "In the beginning it was amazing. I was showered with so many material things. Like that's the one thing I remember distinctly is the materialistic stuff was always present."

But then things changed after a while. "The sad part was when I look back at it, he never changed, he was exactly the same. I wanted to focus on making him look like a good person through the things he would buy me and not necessarily by the way he treated me."

She said she was abused from the moment she walked into that relationship. "It was only masked by all the things I thought was a sign of love.  And having left it I am so grateful that I have left the relationship."  Carol has found love in her husband, Greg Ofori, and described him as a man who understands and appreciates her worth.

"In the six years that I have been with him there has been no aspect of him that's ever made me feel like deja vu of being with that monster," she said.
