There was uproar on social media after the SA Hip Hop Awards were announced on Tuesday.
This is because K.O's Cara Cara was missing from the list and many saw this as an injustice. Many believe that the song, which reached over 1 million views on You Tube, is the biggest track of the year. But before you get angry, the organisers of the awards have explained why K.O and other Cashtime artists aren't featured.
The Hip Hop Awards team tweeted: "Please note that Cashtime artists were initially nominated but had to be removed from the list as per their management's request. Thanks."
