Cassper Nyovest: Brace yourself for MTV MAMA's

Johannesburg- Durban has rolled out the red carpet and is set to play host to one of the most highly-anticipated events on the entertainment calendar- the MTV MAMAs 2015!

The coastal city is a hive of activity with the excitement filling the air here. Both local and international celebrities have descended upon the city, with many more expected to arrive today.

This year's international headliners include RnB sensation Ne-Yo, Beware hit maker Jhene Aiko, and Nigerian group P-Square.

The swanky awards ceremony will be hosted by Blackish star, comedian Anthony Anderson, who is also already taking in the sights and sounds of Durban.

But let's not forget that they're all here for one reason, and that's to celebrate Africa's talent! They will be joined by some of our fave artists, which include AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Black Motion, Bucie, Da L.E.S, and Big Nuz.

Together they have all promised to set the stage on fire tonight.

At a press conference held in Durban on Friday night, Cassper told The Juice that fans can expect "a show and a half."

Mr Doc Shebeleza was careful not to spoil the surprise, but did tell us that he wants to take his performance to the next level.

Cassper, who is leading the pack on home soil with three nominations for Best Newcomer, Best Hip-Hop track and Best Song of the Year, added that he's hoping for a clean sweep. (Read the full nominees list here)

"I'm very excited to see my brothers and sisters under one roof celebrating African music. I think that it's about time that the world recognised us and we're getting closer to that. It's nights like the MAMAs that is important in achieving this," he added.

We can't wait to see who walks away with the most awards, who burns a hole on the stage and who wins on the red carpet!

For those of you who won't be joining us in Durban tonight, catch the awards lives on MTV Base at 9pm, and if you don't have MTV Base, catch the show on e.tv at 10pm. Otherwise follow us on Twitter @TheJuiceSA for live updates.
