Cassper Nyovest definitely made history tonight.
In less than a year the Phumakim star has risen to stardom with hit after hit. And, tonight the rapper was rewarded for the hard hours he's invested in his music.
The rapper managed to scoop five awards at the 14th Annual Metro FM Awards in Durban, including the biggest one, Song of the Year.
Cassper thanked God, his fans and his team for making his dream a reality. "I was just looking at some of the legends in the music industry and I always dreamed of one day making history just like them. Tonight my dreams have become a reality and it's all thanks to my fans," he said.
Cassper ended off his moving vote of thanks with this: "God is great all the time and all the time God is great."
