Charlize: "Being a mom is beyond my wildest expectations"

They say you only really appreciate the world until you see it through the eyes of your children. That saying definitely rings true for Charlize Theron.

We all know Charlize loves her son Jackson, but in a candid interview given to Daily Mail recently, Charlize opens up about how motherhood was actually the one thing in her life where she found reality being so much better than her expectations.

"Being a mother is the only thing I have experienced where the reality has surpassed my expectations of how great it would be," she told the Daily Mail.

But it seems that being a mom hasn't meant Charlize has forgotten all the other wonders life has given her. "The last thing I want to do now is to close my eyes to everything else around me. My quest has always been to understand humanity in all its glory – its beauty and its darkness – and I’ve become more enticed by that side of things since becoming a mother. I am very aware," she said.
