Chilli M's boozing history comes back to haunt him

Chilli M is a changed man.

The radio DJ, who is known for living fast and loud, has had his fair share of controversy. But he says he's ready to put it all behind him and become a changed man

It was only a week or two back that Chilli spoke to Khanyi Mbau on her show Katch it with Khanyi where he came clean about most of the rumours plaguing him, including his history of drug and alcohol abuse and beef with radio bosses.

And if you wondered why the man was speaking out, it probably has to do with the fact that he had a very serious health scare not too long ago

According to the Sowetan, Chilli rushed to seek medical attention after his feet were giving him serious problems.

He immediately suspected gout and feared the worst, but doctors said that the problem in his feet stemmed from his kidneys that were rotting. Yuck!

“I thought I had gout but the doctor said I was lacking vitamins, because my liver was damaged," he told the paper.

“I had no choice but to stop drinking because I am a father now, It’s no longer about me and I don’t want people to commit the same mistake as me,” he added.
