Concerns mount over Oscar Pistorius 'reality show' rumour

Johannesburg- Former paralympian Oscar Pistorius's management has rubbished swirling rumours of an upcoming reality show.

On Friday morning Reeva Steenkamp's friends and family were left concerned, after a report about a reality show began circulating on the internet.

The report by a website called www.satiratribune.com, claims that filming for the former athlete's reality show, called House Arrest will focus on Oscar's day-to-day life out of prison.

This sparked widespread fear and concern among Reeva's inner circle.

"We are very proud and honoured to have Oscar do this show for us. It will be very entertaining. Our goal is to shed light on what it's like to be under house arrest after killing your girlfriend," read one of the quotes in the report.

Speaking to The Juice, Oscar's spokesperson Anneliese Burgess labelled the report as "beyond ridiculous."

"It's clearly a ridiculous concept with absolutely no truth to it," Anneliese added.

The 'Blade Runner', who was convicted of Culpable Homicide for the killing of his supermodel girlfriend on Valentines Day in 2013, was released under correctional supervision from prison on 19 October, after serving 10 months of his five year sentence.

However, Oscar's fate hangs in the balance as The Supreme Court of Appeal is currently considering the State's application to convict Oscar of murder.

Judgement has been reserved and a date has not yet been set down.
