DJ Cleo undeterred by 'haters'

Although the award-winning DJ's soccer career seems doomed, he's still determined to prove everyone wrong.

Last week Daily Sun reported that despite the DJ's concerted efforts to make a name for himself as a goalkeeper things weren't going according to plan.

He's tried his luck with Bidvest Wits and the Ke Yona Nedbank Cup team before making his way to the University of Pretoria senior team, AmaTuks.

A source at the team told the newspaper that DJ Cleo was training with them and seemed to be in good condition. "We’ve been training with him, and he is in good condition. But I wonder what will happen to him because we have a young team. As a man of his age, I don’t think he will fit into the club structure," added the source.

The university's media officer confirmed that DJ Cleo was training with them just to keep fit.

Shortly after the article was published DJ Cleo took to social media to set the record straight.  "NEVER let anyone tell you 'it's too late to chase your dream'. The harder they try to slow me down.. The harder I push. I was born a dreamer and will fulfill my dreams," he said on Instagram.

Good on you!
