DJ Merlon heartbroken after Cape Town robbery

A smash-and-grab incident has left DJ Merlon devastated.

The DJ, who had major success with is hit track Koze  Kuse, was in Cape Town when the incident happened. Merlon and his friends were apparently travelling in a hired vehicle. They then stopped to chill at a local party spot.

A source told Sunday Sun that when the DJ and his entourage came out of the club, they discovered that the vehicle had been robbed. The thieves reportedly took his laptop, ID, DJ equipment, iPads and clothes. The stolen items are valued at R500 000.

Merlon confirmed the incident and told the paper that he's very disappointed. "I won't say it's bad luck because crime happens everywhere in the country. It's just that I wasn't expecting this. Thinking about the music and laptop breaks my heart. I guess it's back to the drawing board for me."
