DJ Sbu arrested for speeding

DJ Sbu was arrested after he was caught speeding on Friday evening. Sbu, who also hosts Friends Like These on SABC1, was reportedly caught clocking 176km/h in a 120km/h zone.

Sunday Sun reported that the DJ, who was driving to Polokwane at the time, was caught speeding on the N1 north near Brooklyn, Pretoria. He was taken to Brooklyn police station where he was released on R1000 bail.

TS Record boss and DJ Sbu’s business partner, TK Nciza confirmed the arrest. He told the paper: "It was an unfortunate incident that happened."

Police spokesperson Isaac Mahamba said Sbu is expected to appear in court soon.

This is not the first time DJ Sbu was arrested for speeding. Sunday Sun reported that in 2007, he was caught doing 256km/h in a 120km/h zone near the Grasmere Toll Plaza.
