DJ Sbu yet to appear in court

Johannesburg - DJ Sbu will not appear in court on Monday morning as expected, after his blood test results were delayed.

Police spokesperson, Kay Makhubela, confirmed that Sbu will not have his day in court today, or anytime soon, because police have yet to receive his blood test results.

"The blood tests could only be sent to forensics this morning because the incident happened over the weekend.  This forms part of a standard procedure, which is adopted by the police, when someone is arrested over the weekend," he told The Juice.

Kay added that the police do not know when the results would be back from forensics. However, as soon as the results are back, a court date will be set.

"We don’t know when the tests will be done, it can be quick or it can take longer, so I can’t say when he will be appearing in court,” he explained.

Sbu was arrested over the weekend for drunken driving, after police pulled him over for reckless driving and skipping a red robot.
